The following is a tutorial on how to create 100x100 pixel icons for your own personal use. Now before we get into the actual icon making, I'm going to take a second and explain about personal use versus commercial use and what all of that has to do with you. There are a lot of really great resources for graphic designers on the web. From fonts, to textures, to base images, etc. However, all of these resources were made by somebody and because of that there are certain rules that go along with their use. There are two basic types of use in the web design world. Personal Use, or use just for you and a handful of others with no profit being made. Then there's commercial use where you create something and sell it to make a profit.
A majority of people who offer graphics resources are 100% fine with their resources being used for personal use. Which means that if you create something using their texture or brush and you don't make any money off of it, and it's for a specific person/group of people, you're good. Generally it is considered polite/respectful to credit the creators of the resources as a way of thanks. If you are planning on making something for commercial use, you generally need a license to use certain resources, particularly fonts. Using those resources without a commercial license can end up with you running into legal trouble. TL:DR, if you're gonna make money off of this, buy a commercial license. If not, just give credit. ;) Okay, now for the fun part...the ingredients to our recipe!

Okay, so I want to take a second and talk to you honestly about this wonderful place that we call the island. Specifically, how to make a literal crap-ton of bells without doing much of anything. Now, the main concept I want to talk to you all about that is important to the making of bells is the concept of spawns. Spawns: The idea that only a certain amount of bugs/fish can "appear" or "spawn" on the island at a time. Oh, hello there. I'm Sunny. And I suppose you could say I run this place. This place is named "Pocket Full of Sunflowers" because I love Sunflowers, and obviously...in Animal Crossing you have pockets! ;)
Hey AC developers, mind making Sunflowers a plantable flower in the eventual Animal Crossing Switch? Please and thanks. I'd love to have a field of them in my town! Anyway, I guess I should tell you a little bit about my crazy town huh? Well, actually, towns plural. I have two copies, both digital on my original vintage pink 3DS. I know. I'm so retro. ;P My first town is my main playing town named Hamster. It's a long story as to WHY I named it that. I'll explain in another post sometime. But in this town I am slowly working on getting all wolf villagers because, honestly...I love wolves. So far I have Wolfgang, Fang, W.Link and Whitney. I also have Amiibo cards for Dobie and Vivian, but I'm kind-of waiting on them and trying to get non-amiibo wolves in first. My whole town kinda has a "zen" theme to it. I like the colors and tones of it, so I just rolled with it. I recently got the train station upgrade, so everything matches. Anyhoo, I probably should go make dinner. Catch you later? |
